How Enable Exceeded Growth Targets with Sloane Staffing’s Top Tier Hiring

Introduction

Enable is a UK based rebate management software company that turns rebates into an engine for B2B growth by removing the administrative burden of rebates and harnessing their strategic potential. Enable is the first of its kind: they are first to market, which has made it ultra important to hire high quality candidates to grow their businesses quickly. As a large software company with no other real competitors in the same space, Enable is focused on taking as much ownership of the market as possible. Enable has shown so much success that their own customers are investing back into the company. They are constantly enhancing new product releases to fill the need in the rebate management space.

Enable’s Head of Global Talent, Lance Tripp, oversees all talent acquisition in all four Enable locations: US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. After Enable received its Series B funding, Lance knew the company had to expand their sales and marketing team. Initially, Lance brought on multiple staffing agencies to bring talent through the door. Enable’s internal recruiting team is small, so Lance heavily relied on recruitment partners to find qualified talent.

The Challenge of Lance Tripp and Enable

Lance Tripp’s top priority became expanding Enable’s sales and marketing team. Over two dozen staffing firms were brought on to generate talent through the door. However, the many dozen agencies brought on were not grasping current qualifications, and the quality of candidates were not strong.

Why Enable Chose Sloane Staffing

After receiving our Series B funding, our top priority was to grow our footprint in North America and expand our go-to-market & sales teams.

We were working with over two dozen staffing firms in the United States and Sloane Staffing quickly emerged as our top partner.
— Lance Tripp, Head of Global Talent

When Enable partnered with Sloane Staffing, Sloane Staffing was quickly able to ramp up candidates and meet exact criteria to fit qualifications. Right off the bat, the Sloane Staffing team proved their hiring talent by understanding Enable’s hiring pain points and identifying what the right candidate looked like. From August to December 2022, Sloane Staffing was able to place 15 candidates, from Account Executives, to sales managers to building out the sales enablement team in Toronto. Sloane Staffing expanded into hiring marketing roles and sourcing on product development candidates and successfully placed roles such as senior director demand generation, product marketing, and field marketing.

How Sloane Staffing Responded

Sloane Staffing was able to place 15 employees in four months. Their ability to come in and find top-tier talent in a short period of time has allowed Enable to meet and exceed our growth targets ahead of time.

Enable’s continued success and company growth led to their Series C funding. Enable realized that spending time on candidates through various agencies that did not grasp their criteria was not the best use of their time, thus making Sloane Staffing their #1 staffing partner in the U.S. and one of their top staffing partners globally.

Now that Enable is entering the New Year with new funding, the company is only growing that much faster and Sloane Staffing continues to work closely with the team to build out new sales teams.

The Results

Our growth targets are even bigger now that we confirmed our Series C and Sloane Staffing is our preferred partner working with multiple departments, hiring managers and offices outside of the United States.

Phenomenal strategic approach where their main focus is understanding their partner’s needs.
— Lance Tripp, Head of Global Talent

Enable’s reporting on candidates submitted from different agencies progressing through interview steps showed that Sloane brought in the highest percentage of candidates that made it the farthest into the interview process and had been hired. The majority of candidates that were brought in through other agencies did not make it past the recruiter screen. Enable’s reporting showed that 85% of Sloane Staffing candidates made it past the recruiter screen to progress through the interview process and ultimately to the hiring stage.

A major factor that made the partnership so successful was the close relationship Sloane Staffing’s Alena Aumueller created with the Enable talent team. Alena meets twice a week to collect feedback on how candidates did during the interview process, and what adjustments they want to make to future candidate profiles. They also discuss future plans to grow various departments, identify new opportunities for partnership, roadmapping expansion into different departments, and how Sloane Staffing can provide additional support.

Enable says that Sloane Staffing has fantastic communication and is able to get ahead of unforeseen circumstances. Sloane Staffing works with Enable’s talent team to close candidates, review offers, and helps candidates decipher opportunities when they are in final stages with Enable. If Enable is passionate about a candidate, Sloane Staffing will help push candidates across the finish line to Enable. It’s all about communication, partnerships, and collaboration.

The Sloane Staffing Difference
