Our client in Chicago, IL (an award-winning data science consultancy with national brand experience) is looking to hire an entry to mid-level full-time Social Media Manager who is passionate about social media marketing and building an audience for a brand on a variety of social platforms. This role will include ongoing content creation and communication with our client and their clients’ stakeholders to source content locally from team members across the nation. In addition, this role will include ongoing benchmarking and reporting on social media activity and the performance of their management efforts and their industry competition. This role requires a deep understanding of social media and analytics, a passion for online marketing, and impeccable communication skills.
We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can enhance our client’s and their client’s brands and build strong online communities through a variety of social media platforms. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage users and create genuine relationships between consumers and the company. The successful candidate will also be able to collect and review social media data to improve campaign performance over time.

The Social Media Manager will:
Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification
Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Proactively assist with campaign build to ensure flawless execution
Analyze and interpret data trends and develop improvement solutions; educate Account/Campaign managers on changes to process and recurring issues
Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends that will be submitted to the management and executive teams
Bachelor/Masters degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media, Public Relations, or closely related field
2+ years of relevant work experience
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Knowledge in Social Media and Analytics tools such as CoSchedule, Google Analytics, Tableau, and SugarCRM are a plus
Passion for digital advertising and social media, digital strategy, and social media management
Photoshop skills or any other photo editing tools
Annual Salary: $40,000 - $50,000 (exact salary will be commensurate with qualifications)
