Are You Including Your Temporary Employees in Your Company Culture Enough? | Staffing Delray Beach

We know from personal experience and through staffing Delray Beach that more often than not, companies do not include their temporary employees enough in their company culture enough. This can be a huge issue because if your want to get the most out of your temporary workforce, you and your team should make every effort to include temporary employees in your company culture. Your temp workers will not only feel more included and integrated into your company, but they will gain respect for their management and the company as a whole. Think about it: if you expect your temp employees to be as integrated as you perm employees, than you should be treating them all the same. Also, temporary employees often turn into full-time employees anyway! Set a good example for your full time workers, and be sure to include temp workers in any company wide meetings, town halls, happy hours, etc. Also, ask your full time employees how the teams might better include the temp workers. It might not hurt to check reviews of your company on sites such as Glassdoor to see what your temporary employees are saying about you. Word about an employer spreads fast these days, especially with social media and employer review sites. If you make your temporary employees feel like outsiders, they may be quick to share their experience through anonymous posts and reviews. Make it a habit to read through your reviews, you might learn a thing or two!

Partner with Sloane Staffing today! Call us at 561.512.8989 to find out how we can help your company. We’ve been staffing Delray Beach for quite some time now and would love to help you and your company include your temporary workers more into your company culture.

Applying For An Account Manager Position? Here Are Four Interview Questions To Help You Prepare | Delray Beach Jobs Hiring

Are you ready to become an Account Manager? An account manager is a person who works for a company and is responsible for the management of sales and relationships with particular customers.  They manage the relationship with the client of the account(s) they are assigned to. Account management can lead to very lucrative careers. As the “face” of your employer, you will ensure each client of yours is matched with the right products and services your company offers. Here are a few of our favorite questions to review when preparing for an account manager job interview.

1)      What is your favorite productivity tool and why? It is crucial for account managers to keep organized, and employers will want to know exactly how you do this. Be ready to list any tools you use to track clients, plan your day, manage your time, etc.

2)      What is it so important to establish long term relationships with clients and customers? If possible, use examples from your past work here to explain how you gained the trust of your clients.

3)      Describe a situation in which you were able to handle a dissatisfied client? Almost all employers will ask to see how you handle this question. They want to know how you will handle a dissatisfied client and not lose their business.

4)      If you could snap your fingers and change one thing in your personality what would it be and why? Expect an off-the-wall interview question. These are becoming more and more common, and it’s a great way for a hiring manager to get a good sense of your personality based off of how you answer.

How To Create A Standout Resume | Employ South Florida

When hiring managers are looking to fill roles and ultimately employ South Florida, there are a few key ways you can make yourself stand out among other candidates. Here are six ways you can differentiate your resume from others:

1)      Tailor your resume to the job. It’s OK to do some research on the company, and tune your resume to the specific role. Try to include relevant experience and skills, and if possible put this at the very top of your CV.

2)      Make sure your resume is error-free. We can’t tell you how many times here at Sloane Staffing we review resumes with grammatical errors. This is a huge red flag to potential employers. If you need to, have a friend or family member proofread your resume before sending.

3)      Use a template. Resume templates are easy to follow, and will help you make fewer mistakes. Download a resume template from a site like My Perfect Resume.

4)      Include metrics. It is important to add numbers to your resume, no matter what the position. Employers like to see what you accomplished for past companies. For example, “I closed 29 deals in a six-month period bringing in over $670k in revenue for the company.”

5)      Keep things professional. Avoid using any negative language about previous jobs or employers. This is also not a document that should ever showcase your personal hobbies or political preferences.

6)      Don’t use fancy fonts or colors. If you follow a resume template, you will see that loud, fancy fonts and colors are not needed to showcase all of your skills. Keep the document clean and easy to read.

We hope these six tips will help you with your resume writing. If you need further help, feel free to contact us anytime at 561.512.8989.

How To Make The Most Of Your Interview When Hiring | Now Hiring Delray Beach

Now hiring in Delray Beach? If so, it can benefit your organization to creatively assess your prospective new hires, rather than asking the typical interview questions. An interview is your opportunity to get to know your potential new hires on a more personal level. Try switching up your normal interview routine. For instance, it can be extremely telling, and a little fun, to ask an out-of-the box interview question. It’s also a good way to loosen up the interview process. For example, try asking something like “If you were to get rid of one state in the U.S., which would it be and why?” Or, “A penguin walks through that door right now wearing a sombrero. What does he say and why is he here?” These off the wall interview questions will force the candidate to think creatively on their feet, and might even get a laugh out of them. Another, more difficult to answer question that will reveal how much your candidate knows about your company, is to ask “If you were the CEO here, what would you do differently if you ran the company?” This will ensure if your candidate has done their homework and research on your organization, and if they might be a good fit or not in your office. You may also ask “What has our company/what is our company doing wrong” or “what can we change here.” Who knows, you might learn something your business could benefit from. The end goal of every interview process is to find the perfect new hire for your particular organization.
